Al-Harith al-Muhasabi has stated three types of forces work upon one's \r\n heart: \r\n
Hence, the individual must always strive to be aware of these forces \r\n acting upon his heart. He must always try to be awake and never let himself \r\n become neglectful. If he becomes neglectful, he will stray from his one \r\n purpose in life: being true and sincere to Allah in his worship of Him. \r\n He must always try to follow those steps that will increase his faith \r\n and keep him from staying. He must always turn to Allah and ask Allah \r\n to guide him to sincerity and purity for His sake. \r\nSource: |

\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n A Bearer of Glad Tidings (Bashir) \r\n\"By Allah, He will complete this mission until a rider \r\n will travel from Sana to Hadrmawt (both are places in Yemen) and \r\n will have no fear but of Allah, \r\n and no worry but about a wolf that might harm his cattle - buy \r\n you make haste.\" [Bukhari] \r\nProphet Muhammad, peace be upon him, not only lived by Islam \r\n himself but he actively interacted with his people. He shared \r\n with them the great blessings and benefits which they will receive \r\n in this world and in the life hereafter, if they sincerely accept \r\n Islam and live by it. \r\nThe attitude of the noble Prophet was not that of denunciation. \r\n On the contrary, he tried to inspire \r\n his people by giving them a new hope and a vision of a better \r\n and just world which could be built through Islam. \r\n Giving glad tidings can greatly assist in uplifting people and \r\n aid in increasing their understanding of the kind of social life \r\n that will evolve from Islamic Message. \r\n \r\n Source: |

\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Islam Requires Dynamic Action \r\nThe dynamism of Islam is evident in the active role is assigns \r\n to man. The Islamic concept is not like a theory, or an ideal \r\n dream or spiritual mysticism, which may remain passively in \r\n the depths of the human heart. It \r\n is a practical “plan” designed to be implemented. \r\n As long as it is not implemented, its value remains purely academic \r\n and that is not its intent. \r\nThe Islamic concept keeps the \r\n mind of the Muslim restless, always calling him to action, \r\n telling him to get up and go out and actualize this concept \r\n in the real world. It refines his sensibilities in order to \r\n bring the entire power of his belief and will to bear upon the \r\n reconstruction of a society so that the Islamic faith may be \r\n realized in the lives of people. \r\nWhenever the Quran mentions belief \r\n or the believers, it also mentions appropriate deeds that translate \r\n the belief into practice. One example is in \r\n Surah Al-Hujurat: \r\nThe believers are only those who believe in Allah and His \r\n Messenger and afterward do not doubt, but strive with their \r\n wealth and their lives for the cause of Allah. Such are the \r\n sincere. (49:15). \r\nSo faith is not merely feelings in the heart or ideas in the \r\n mind, with no application in life. Nor is faith merely rituals \r\n of worship, without action in society and effort to establish \r\n Allah’s legislation. \r\nIslam teaches that Allah is not pleased with mere thoughts \r\n in the minds of men and words on their tongues. He does not \r\n let a people alone until they translate their faith into action. \r\nSay: “Do good work! Allah will surely see your deeds, \r\n and (so will) His Messenger and the believers. And you will \r\n be returned to Him who knows the seen and the unseen, and then \r\n He will make you understand what you have been doing.” \r\n (Al-Tawbah 9:105). \r\nSource: |
